Equity for children Equity for children is an initiative of the Graduate Program in International Affairs (GPIA), The New School in partnership with the Graduate School of Social Service, Fordham University. It is as an online forum that provides students, professors, academics and practitioners with an interactive space to learn, research and communicate on thematic issues related to child poverty, rights, and social issues. We also focus on social policy, impact monitoring & evaluation, and the role of interactive, participatory media and arts projects by children to address their own rights and wellbeing. |

JUNTOS JUNTOS- National Program to Provide Direct Support for the Poor was created in April 2005 and gives the poorest people in the country a S/100.00 cash bonus in a bid to try and secure their participation in the areas of nutrition, health, education and identity in order to restitute basic rights and seeks to combat chronic child malnutrition and extreme poverty. The work of this program places priority on rural sectors and incorporates families with pregnant women and children up to age 14. |

Observatorio por la Infancia y la Adolescencia [Observatory for Childhood and Adolescence] The Observatory for Childhood and Adolescence emerged as an initiative of the University Research Centre at Universidad del Pacífico -CIUP and Save the Children Sweden. It monitors the social investment of the state among children in Peru, as well as the quality of social spending and public policies aimed and children and adolescents. Beyond the monitoring, the goal of this observatory is to elaborate proposals that improve the implementation of policies and the administration of spending. |

An international, interdisciplinary team draws together perspectives from across the social sciences in a major programme of comparative research, focused on six communities in each of four countries: Ethiopia, Thailand, Peru and Bangladesh. The research raises fundamental questions both for the academic study of development, and for the policy community. |

Young Lives The aim of Young Lives is to provide solid evidence to underpin effective poverty reduction and social policies. Our research is tracking the changing outcomes and impact of poverty for children through childhood, into adulthood and into the next generation. The study is designed so the research evidence can inform policy debates, and specifically link to the formulation and implementation of pro-poor policies that will be far more effective in reducing childhood poverty in the future.
