Jeanine Anderson
Coordinator Post-graduate Anthropology programs at university Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and tenured professor
She is an anthropologist with a Ph.D. from Cornell University, New York. She has worked for the Ministry of Education of Peru, for womens' organizations, and in independent research and consulting. Since 1992, she has been a member of the social science faculty of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP). Her longest-term research is a longitudinal study on urban poverty in Lima, where she has followed a group of families in a shanty town from the 1970's through the present.

Currently Coordinator of the Lima-based programme to strengthen capacity of monitoring and evaluation for FIDA projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. She has been an interviewer for the programme Ampliación de Noticias on RPP and presenter of the programme Tribuna Libre on the cable channel, Canal 6. Currently, she presents the programme Prensa Libre on América Televisión.
